Programme for 19th October

Hi there,

This Saturday, Kids' Whirled gives your children the opportunity to take part in a special free creative workshop before the film. See below for details and booking.

In Kirikou and the Sorceress, meet an extraordinary boy who delivers himself from his mother's womb to emerge walking and talking. Based on a traditional West African folk tale, the film tells how Kirikou sets off from his home village into the beautiful but dangerous African landscape in order to rid his fellow villagers of an evil sorceress who is ruining their lives.
Director Michel Ocelot's rich animation plunges his audience deep into the African bush, a place of myth and spirituality. Look out for the music, specially commissioned by Senegalese musician Youssou N'Dour, which uses only traditional African instruments. Originally made in French, this film has been dubbed into English.

Recommended for ages 4+.
