Hi there,
Kids' Whirled has made a successful start since September, with some fully attended screenings, a fantastic children's workshop, our first teens film and a really enthusiastic and magical atmosphere each week.
We're taking a couple of weeks break before being back for another season of children's films on Saturday 16th November. Inspired by anti-bullying month, our new theme is Friend or Foe, with a range of animations and features exploring the themes of friendship, love, loss and fear, from the soft watercolours of "Ernest and Celestine" to Spielberg's classic road thriller "Duel".
And save the date: on Saturday 14th December, Kids' Whirled will celebrate the festive season with a Christmas film of your choice! We'll create a winter wonderland, you decide on the film. Start sending your requests now to kidswhirled@gmail.com. The film with the most entries will win.
So, will you go for a black and white family classic, a musical, or a festive comedy? The choice is yours. The only criteria is that it is a film watchable by the whole family, and it needs to be xmas related of course.
Our next film is Ernest and Celestine (U), a charming and original French animation, based on Gabrielle Vincent's beloved children's books.
Thanks for spreading the word, and if you haven't done so already, please like us on Facebook and follow us on Twitter.
